I’m with you Lan’dorien, without kanji Japanese wouldn’t be worth pursuing for me. Persistence is a virtue. I hope to do better in 1kyuu this year. I know I’m going to have to make some sacrifices.

That was a beautiful tribute to your Dad. You’re quite right about leading by example. He was someone whose quiet life was a beautiful thing to see, and his patience and calm was something we could all aspire to.

If the good Lord wanted us to swim like beavers He would have given us water repellant brown fuzzy coats. Hmmm, maybe this explains yer fascination for crunchy salads……..

Nice, Jason.
You are right. Any numbers of words could not say what could be said of this dear gentle man. I will miss his wit, his dry sense of humor, his straight sound doctrinal understanding, I will miss the comfort of his presence. He is one of my very precious memories, and one of the folks I particularly anticipate seeing again in our Father’s presence. While we again set the table here for one less person today, we sorrow not as those who have no hope. The more friends we have in the Father’s home, the lighter the bonds to this present world. We’ll keep looking up.

please take in the spirit intended, this bit of advice. Bowmen ought to use finer tools that chainsaws to prune their nails, especially if they also are givn to plucking guitar strings… Sometimes less really IS better? Go(ne) ye to the doc re the overzealous snipwork? (or was it ripwork…)
